Proximity transponder reader

General device characteristics

The HID iCLASS® R10 reader is destined for transponder (proximity cards) readout. It works at 13,56 MHz frequency and reads Mifare type transponders. The reader cooperates with a bibi system controller (bibi-K12) using a Wiegand interface.
The reader can be used both indoors and outdoors thanks to its polycarbonate casing.

Identifiers

The R10 reads Mifare proximity identifiers. Typically the transponders are made in the form of plastic cards on which it is possible to print a company logo, the employee's photo or other information.

The transponders can also be made in other forms, i.e. a key-fob.
